Circus Cat Chained To The Back Of A Truck For 20 Years Finally Tastes Freedom

For the last 20 years, Mufasa the mountain lion has been chained in the back of an old truck and used as an act in a traveling circus. During a raid earlier this year, wildlife officials and Animal Defenders International (ADI) rescued Mufasa and took him to ADI’s Spirit of Freedom rescue centre. After being nursed back to health, Mufasa, who’s unreleasbale, was taken to his forever home on the edge of the Tambopata reserve in the Amazon rainforest. These are Mufasa’s first steps of freedom.

Chicken Lover Knits Tiny Woolly Jumpers To Keep Her Chickens Warm During Winter

For the past six months, 25-year-old Nicola Congdon and her mother Ann from Falmouth in Cornwall, England have been knitting tiny woolly jumpers for her rescue chickens. The chickens, which come from battery farms, often arrive with few feathers and have a tough time acclimating to the chilly countryside. The adorable little jumpers help keep the chickens warm and safe during the winter months.
