An F/A-18D assigned to Strike Fighter Squadron 106 crashed just after take off into an apartment complex in Virginia Beach, VA today around 12:05pm EST. Both aircrew ejected safety before the plane crash landed into the Mayfair Mews Apartments. According to the LA Times, 6 people have been taken to the hospital with small injuries, their were no fatalities in the event. Shortly after the plane crash this footage was taken and you can see the F/A-18 between the two buildings. The U.S. Navy has released this statement on the incident.
