Space Shuttle Enterprise Landing At JFK In New York City.

After a 45-minute flyby tour of several landmarks in New York City, Space Shuttle Enterprise made it’s final landing today at 11:23AM EDT atop a Boeing 747 at JFK International Airport in New York City. Space Shuttle Enterprise will take a barge to it’s final destination, the Intrepid Sea, Air and Space Museum June 4-6th and Enterprise will open to the public June 19th, 2012. It was a once in a life time experience to watch the shuttle land in New York City. Enterprise was never used in an actual space mission, it was the first full-scale Space Shuttle Orbiter used for experiments which included flights in the Earth’s atmosphere.
