Kari Bird, a mother of three and a law school student, was returning to her home in Indianapolis, Indiana around 11:30 p.m. last Wednesday when a group of young men approached her, pulled out a gun, and demanded the keys to her vehicle. Bird made a quick decision, she reached into her vehicle’s center console and pulled out her own gun. Once the carjackers saw Bird’s gun, they yelled, ‘Oh sh**!’ and ran away.
