Ryan Andresen wanted to be an Eagle Scout for as long as he can remember. Ryan has been a Boy Scout for 12 years and has finally completed the final requirement to receive the Eagle Scout award. Despite completing all the requirements, Ryan was denied the Eagle Scout award because he is gay. Ryan’s mother Karen has seen how hard he has worked for the Eagle Scout award and has started a petition on Change.org. The petition currently has over 380,000 signatures with a goal of 500,000. Ryan appears on The Ellen Show this afternoon to share his story.
