A record of 226 million shoppers spent $52.4 billion over the Black Friday weekend. This amount of people shopping has lead to some wild stories from crowds rushing stores to a pepper spray incident in Walmart. Hundreds of people rushed Urban Outfitters in Thousand Oaks, California as they opened their doors at midnight, the group of people destroyed the security devices at the doors entrance. The Walmart in Porter Ranch, California was where the pepper spray incident occurred, as a woman had a Xbox 360 she felt like someone was stealing it so she pepper sprayed the people around her.
