18-year-old Curtis Golden from Buxton, Derbyshire appeared on The X Factor UK this weekend and he was one of the episodes’ most watched contestants. Curtis is a huge fan of the The X Factor, he always watched the show with his mother before she lost her battle against cancer. Curtis calls himself a nerd/geek, he has never had a girlfriend and recently told his father he was gay. Curtis sings ‘Candyman’ by Christina Aguilera, the crowd and judges love it, except for Melanie Brown [Scary Spice] who called the cover ‘annoying and irritating’.
