The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey trailer released today, An Unexpected Journey is the first part of the prequel to The Lord Of The Rings trilogy. The film, based on J. R. R. Tolkien’s The Hobbit, stars Martin Freeman, Elijah Wood, Ian McKellen and more. Others in The Hobbit series include, The Desolation of Smaug set to arrive December 13th, 2013 and There and Back Again arriving July 18th, 2014. An Unexpected Journey arrives to theaters in 3D, December 14th, 2012.

The prequel to the Lord of the Rings trilogy, The Hobbit, will arrive in theaters December 2012. The story of Bilbo Baggins told by Peter Jackson will be told in two parts with the second half releasing in 2013. Though the movie does not release for an entire year The Hobbit Trailer is today’s most watched video.
