From 1993 to 2009, British salesman Joe Ades, aka the ‘Gentleman Peeler’, made a living selling $5 Swiss-made potato peelers on the streets of New York City. In this video from 2008, Joe gives a short pitch and sells more than a dozen peelers in less than five minutes. Sadly, Joe passed away in 2009, one day after being informed that he had been granted American citizenship.
