Last year 81-year-old mystery writer Cynthia Riggs of Martha’s Vineyard, Massachusetts received a coded message from Howard Attebery, a long lost friend she hadn’t seen in over sixty years. Riggs and Attebery met 62 years ago while working at a marine laboratory in San Diego, California and they use to exchange notes written in code on paper towels. Now at the age of 90, Howard built up enough courage to come back into Riggs’ life to tell her how he really feels.
