Tommy Carroll – Blind Skateboarder.

Bilateral Retinal Blastoma took Tommy Carroll’s eye sight at the age of two, but that didn’t stop him from picking up skateboard and learning to skate at the age of ten. Surprisingly Tommy is able to find his way around different skateparks by listening to the sound of his wheels. Tommy says, ‘For me protective gear is the difference between being absolutely terrified while skateboarding and being completely confident’, and that ‘There is always a way to overcome an obstacle if you really want it enough’.
