Seven months ago a 4-month-old Staffordshire terrier mix puppy was thrown out and left for dead on the side of a street in Atlanta, Georgia. She was found unconscious, weighed just four pounds and was unable to stand. Her quick recovery earned her the name Xena the Warrior Puppy, a Facebook Page soon followed. At a fundraising event in November Xena ran right up to 8-year-old Jonny Hickey, and the two have been best friends since.
