In March of this year, tour organizer Rainer Schimpf of Expert-Tours took a group of German tourists on a sightseeing expedition off the coast of Mossel Bay in South Africa. During the expedition a 12-foot-long Great White Shark mistook their inflatable rubber boat for a dead whale and took a bite. The group managed to return to shore safely, but the boat suffered ~$3,300 worth of damage.
