New York artist, Daniel Wurtzel attempts to transform ordinary matter into something extraordinary, many of his works include a custom vortex and lightweight material. In ‘Magic Carpet’, a sheet of red fabric appears to magically float in the middle of a room. Eight fans keep the sheet in the center of the room as it floats in and out of the vortex. Daniel has also created a piece with two sheets called, ‘Pas de Deux‘, which means ‘a dance for two people’.
