At a young age autistic 5-year-old Daniel Mulligan of Ojai, California became fascinated with garbage trucks. Every Monday morning Daniel waves to the trash man as they pick up the weekly trash. On a recent pickup, Daniel’s favorite recyclables collector, Manuel Sanchez of E.J. Harrison & Sons, got out of his truck and surprised him with a toy garbage truck. Daniel’s mother, Robin Newberger, was there to capture the moment.
