Reptile biologist Matt Evans at the Smithsonian National Zoo Reptile Discovery Center in Washington, D.C. takes a moment to answer whether or not tortoises enjoy being touched. Just because tortoises are cold-blooded doesn’t mean they don’t enjoy a good neck rub. Evans explains tortoises enjoy several tactile sensations and are actually quite affectionate.
