Touching Short Film About A Boy And His New Disabled Puppy Lands Its Creators Jobs At Disney

In 2014, students Jacob Frey and Markus Kranzler created The Present as a graduation project while attending Filmakademie Baden-Wuerttemberg in Ludwigsburg, Germany. The touching animated short is based off the comic strip “Perfection” by Brazilian artist Fabio Coala and shares the story of a boy and his new disabled dog. Not only did the short go on to win dozens of awards at film festivals throughout the world, Frey landed a job at Walt Disney Animation Studios and Kranzler works at Pixar Animation Studios.
