Rick Perry’s latest ad for his 2012 campaign is currently airing in Iowa and accuses president Obama of a ‘war on religion’. Perry claims ‘You don’t need to sit in a pew every Sunday to know there’s something wrong in this country when gays can serve openly in the military but our kids can’t openly celebrate Christmas or pray in school’. He ends saying, ‘As president, I’ll end Obama’s war on religion. And I’ll fight against liberal attacks on our religious heritage.’ This anti gay, pro religious ad has received only negative feedback and is being flagged as promoting hatred by many.
