New York City Soda Ban Explained.

Filmmaker Casey Neistat decided to take a further look at New York City’s newly proposed Big Soda Ban. Mayor of New York City, Michael Bloomberg has banned large sodas and sugary drinks to help fight obesity in the city. The goal of the ban is to force people to make the conscious decision to go from one cup to another cup. Casey Neistat’s ‘NYC Soda Ban Explained’ has been featured in The Opinion Pages of the New York Times.

Make It Count – Around The World In 10 Days.

Casey Neistat known for ‘Bikes Lanes‘ and ‘Stealing A Bike In NYC‘ returns with a little help from Nike. Casey was asked by Nike to make a movie about what it means to ‘Make It Count’, Casey along with his friend Max make it count by using the budget to travel the world. Casey and Max make the trip to France, Egypt, Italy, Thailand and more. Casey Neistat’s 10 day journey is similar to Kian Lam’s ‘Speeding Around The World In Less Than 5 Minutes‘ and Duane Perera’s ‘Drinking Coca-Cola Around The World‘.

Bike Thief – Stealing A Bike In New York City.

When Casey Neistat first moved to New York in 2001 his bike was stolen the very first day. In 2005 Casey and brother Van created a film showing of how easy it is to steal a bike in New York City. The guys steal their own bike using different tools which include a crow bar, bolt cutters, hacksaw and more. Seven years later they try it again and receive a similar response, nothing. Today Casey keeps his bike indoors, storing it in his office and at his home carrying it up four flights of stairs. Another short film by Casey called ‘Bike Lanes‘ was made after receiving a $50 ticket for riding his bike outside a bike lane, Bike Lanes has over 5 million views today.
