Early Sunday morning a 16-year-old boy from Santa Clara, California scaled the fence at San Jose International Airport, crossed the tarmac and climbed into the wheel well of a Boeing 767. The Hawaiian Airlines flight took off from San Jose at 8:00am PST and landed in Kahului, Maui a little more than five hours later. Officials say the boy was unconscious for most of the flight and is lucky to be alive after experiencing temperatures of 80 below zero and a lack of oxygen at 38,000 feet. The 16-year-old had no idea the flight was headed for Hawaii and will not be charged.
