53-year-old Donna Chen was out walking her dog Barney in Sarasota, Florida when she was struck and killed by a 22-year-old drunk driver. The dog was also hit in the accident and took off from the scene running into the Gulf of Mexico. Surprisingly a man fishing from his kayak captured the moment when he rescued Barney. Barney was taken to a vet and an ID chip was found confirming it was Donna Chen’s dog. Barney has since been returned to his family.
