Space Shuttle Endeavour’s Trek Across Los Angeles.

Over the weekend Space Shuttle Endeavour made its final 12-mile journey from Los Angeles International Airport to California Science Center in Exposition Park near downtown Los Angeles. Endeavour left LAX the night of Thursday, October 11th and arrived to the California Science Center Sunday, October 14th. Bryan Chan of the Los Angeles Times created this time-lapse video of Endeavour traveling through the street of Los Angeles. The 85-ton space shuttle was placed on a hydraulic transporter and was controlled by a joystick to its final destination. At the 1:03 mark you can see a Toyota Tundra pulling the shuttle on a bridge crossing the 405, Toyota is planning to use the footage in an upcoming commercial. The Endeavour exhibit at the California Science Center is set to open October 30th, 2012, eventually Endeavour will displayed in a new building and placed in the launch position. Endeavour Mission 26 is another space shuttle time-lapse is also on the rise created by a handful of filmmakers.
