During the first presidential debate Mitt Romney brought up PBS and Big Bird saying, ‘I like PBS, I love Big Bird. Actually like you, too. But I’m not going to keep on spending money on things to borrow money from China to pay for’. Shortly after Romney’s comment Big Bird began trending on twitter and once again became famous. Big Bird stopped by Saturday Night Live this weekend to discuss his recent popularity with Seth Meyers.
