Christi Smith from Brooklyn Park, Minnesota recently rescued a 10-month-old pit bull named TaterTot just hours before he was scheduled to be put down. Less than a week in his new home TaterTot returned the favor and rescued Smith’s 4-year-old son, Peyton, from a life-threatening health scare. In the middle of the night TaterTot sensed a change in Peyton’s body and alerted Christi, she then found her son barely breathing. Christi originally planned on fostering TaterTot, but after the rescue she says TaterTot is now a permanent part of the family.
