Steven Spielberg’s latest film Lincoln, is based on Doris Kearns Goodwin’s biography of Lincoln, Team of Rivals: The Political Genius of Abraham Lincoln. The film stars Daniel Day-Lewis as Abraham Lincoln, Sally Field as First Lady Mary Todd Lincoln, Joseph Gordon-Levitt as their oldest son Robert Todd Lincoln and more. Originally the film called for Liam Neeson to be Lincoln, Neeson left the film saying he was ‘too old to play the former commander-in-chief’. Lincoln releases in select theaters November 9th, 2012 and nationwide on November 16th, 2012.
