For nearly 35 years Raimundo Arruda Sobrinho of São Paulo, Brazil was homeless and known for sitting in the same spot and writing every day. In April of 2011, a woman named Shalla Monteiro befriended Raimundo and was impressed by his poetry. Shalla wanted to help Raimundo fulfill his dream of publishing a book, so she created a Facebook page to feature Raimundo’s writing.
