Diane Pieknik – 65 Year Old Hockey Player.
65-year-old Diane Pieknik from Farmington Hills, Michigan was forced into retirement after losing her job due to the economy. Diane enjoys Jack London’s quote ‘The proper function of man is to live, not to exist. I shall not waste my days in trying to prolong them. I shall use my time.’ Diane uses some of her time playing ice hockey with a women’s 18 and over hockey team called the Suburban Voodoo Dolls. The first time Diane went skating she fell on the ice and fractured her cheek bone, but that didn’t stop her from playing ice hockey. Diane says she is just an ordinary person staying active doing goofy things.
