African Cocoa Farmers Taste Chocolate For The First Time

The Ivory Coast in West Africa leads the world in production and export of the cocoa beans used in manufacturing chocolate. Surprisingly, many cocoa farmers do not know what the cocoa beans are used for and have never tasted chocolate. Dutch public service broadcaster VPRO visited the Ivory Coast earlier this year to give a group of farmers their very first taste of chocolate.
