The Doña Ana County Government Center in Las Cruces, New Mexico has come up with a clever way to get their employees to relax a little. The office building has a “Kitty Condo” where employees can check out an adorable kitten and take it back to their office for the day. Since the Kitty Condo’s opening, in 2012, more than 100 kittens have been adopted.

After spending months in the hospital for cancer treatment and rehab, 81-year-old Clarence Blackmon returned home this week to an empty refrigerator. Hungry and desperate for food, the starving veteran called 911 for help. Blackmon’s call for help went viral, and in less than 24 hours Blackmon’s shelves and countertops are overflowing with food. To prevent a situation like this from happening in the future, Blackmon will be getting a home care nurse to assist him.

Last Saturday, a miniature Schnauzer named Sissy unexpectedly ran away from her home in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. That night, Sissy walked 15+ blocks and wandered into a local hospital, where her owner, 64-year-old Nancy Franck, had been staying following a surgery. Nancy’s husband, Dale Franck, said, “She was on a mission that night to see her mom, but she couldn’t find the right elevator to take.”
