Over the past few years, French photographer Xavier Hubert-Brierre has set up mirrors and hidden cameras in the jungles of Gabon, Africa to see how leopards, gorillas, chimpanzees and more react to seeing their own reflection for the first time. YouTube channel Caters TV recently compiled all of Brierre’s footage into this hilarious 2-1/2 minute compilation.
Bad weather in Michigan Friday morning triggered a massive pileup along Interstate 94 between Kalamazoo and Battle Creek. Dramatic cell phone video of the pileup shot by an anonymous passerby shows cars and trucks traveling into the wreckage at full speed. In the 193 vehicles involved, there were 22 injures and one fatality.
While visiting the Taipei Zoo in Taipei, Taiwan, Audi Yu shot this video of a friendly giant tortoise helping an overturned friend. In less then one minute, the thoughtful tortoise manages to get his buddy back on his feet.
In this amazing closed-circuit television footage, an elephant picks up some litter, and places it in a trash bin where it belongs. The video simply asks, “If they can do it, why cant we?”
[Language] Afghanistan veteran Sam Arnold recently uploaded this chilling video of a US Marine getting shot in the head by a Taliban sniper. The close-call incident took place while conducting a joint helicopter raid in the Now Zad district, Helmand Province in 2013. You can see the moment of impact at the :45 mark.
