Severely autistic 11-year-old Logan Pearson from Andover, Massachusetts is turning 12 Monday and he has never had a traditional birthday party, his parents say throwing one was never really possible. Instead of celebrating by going out for ice cream, his mother, Catherine, turned to Facebook to do something different. On January 22nd, she posted to Facebook asking for birthday cards and wishes, her post went viral and Logan received more than 3,000 birthday cards from all over the world. Once the local police heard about Logan’s story, they threw him a surprise birthday bash complete with gifts and cake.
