Chef Aiming To Cook For Every Firehouse In The State Of Florida Gets Touching Gift After 15 Years

After the attacks on September 11th, 2001 took the lives of 343 firefighters, Florida-based chef Robert Scambia made it a goal to cook for every firehouse in the state. For the past ten years it’s been a dream of his to turn the experience into a cookbook with all profits going back to the firemen. While making his way through Orange County Fire Rescue, Rob’s generosity inspired Firefighter Paramedic Maria Bernard to turn Rob’s dream into a reality. A few days after Bernard started a GoFundMe campaign for Rob, Kleenex caught wind of the story and wanted to help. Last week, Kleenex and a handful of firefighters from Orange County Fire Rescue surprised Rob by presenting him with the first edition of his cookbook, A Hero’s Cookbook. Order your copy of A Hero’s Cookbook here, all proceeds will be donated to the Orange County Firefighters Benevolent Fund, a non-profit that provides financial assistance to firefighters struggling through adverse conditions.
