96-Year-Old Man Writes Heartbreaking Song For His Late Wife

In May of this year 96-year-old Fred Stobaugh of Bartonville, Illinois lost his wife of 72 years, Lorraine. To cope with her loss, Stobaugh wrote a song called ‘Sweet Lorraine’ and mailed it to Green Shoe Studio’s singer-songwriter contest, with hopes that the song would be produced into a professional track. Green Shoe Studio was so moved by Stobaugh’s story that they created a short documentary entitled, A Letter From Fred, ‘a poignant and beautiful story of life, love, music, and the special place where all three come together’. ‘Oh Sweet Lorraine’ is currently available on iTunes and Google Play.
