12-year-old Thomas Hurley III of Newtown, Connecticut has a dream of replacing Alex Trebek as host of Jeopardy! one day. But after Hurley’s recent appearance on the game show, he might have change in plans. Despite knowing the correct answer to the Final Jeopardy question, judges claimed Thomas’ answer, ‘What is the Emanciptation Proclamation’, was wrong because it was ‘misspelled badly’. After the show many viewers turned to Jeopardy’s Facebook page to share their thoughts.
